Over the past two years, the New York Knicks and Milwaukee Bucks have pulled out all the stops to upgrade their rosters and become elite teams in the Eastern Conference, with legitimate superstars leading the way in Jalen Brunson and Giannis Antetokounmpo.
Last year, the Bucks brought in superstar guard Damian Lillard to pair with Antetokounmpo, which many believed would be a game-changer for the team and something that would keep the face of the franchise from leaving Milwaukee.
Ultimately, the move seemed like a step in the right direction, but injuries derailed any chance of the Bucks being a serious threat in the East, as they flamed out quickly in the NBA playoffs.
Heading into this season, the Bucks weren’t getting much buzz, with other teams in the conference making substantial moves, but the hope was that the duo of Lillard and Antetokounmpo would start to fire on all cylinders.
Unfortunately for Milwaukee, the 2024-25 campaign has gotten off to a rough start with a 1-3 record, which has led Kendrick Perkins to believe the Bucks have a problem via NBA on ESPN.
“They have a problem,” Perkins said. … “There’s something going on in that locker room I can’t put my hand on, but I will say this, they took a guy like Patrick Beverley for granted. Imagine what he was doing in that locker room to bring in togetherness.”

Four games is a small sample size, with the Bucks still having a lot of time to turn things around, especially when Khris Middleton comes back from injury, but it has to be a concern because this team is too talented to lose games consistently.
Only time will tell whether the Bucks turn it around or if this gets so bad that the front office is looking to trade Lillard or other pieces to shake things up.
